Set against the backdrop of the Second World War, this Casablanca-like love triangle has Shahid reportedly playing an army officer. The beard, we learn, is really an important part of his look.
After he built muscle for his look in Kaminey, tonsured his head for a scene in Haider, it was but obvious that he would put as much effort into Rangoon as well.
The movie also stars Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan and this is also said to be Bhardwaj's most ambitious film till date.
